We are facing a leadership crisis. We seek national leaders who will wisely guide us through times of economic turmoil and protect us from foreign enemies and domestic terrorists. Candidates often campaign as messiahs, offering hope and deliverance. Once they are elected, however, we are typically disappointed as they prove to be as ineffective and corrupt as those they replaced.
